Belonging With A Gang Tattoo
Thursday, February 28th, 2008For the young kids who grow up in poor crime ridden neighborhoods, joining a gang isn’t really an option. Kids join to belong and for safety. This is ironic because belonging to a gang does not make people safer in any way. In fact, many of the people end up in prison or six feet under the turf. One of the affiliation marks that members have is the gang tattoos. Gang tattoos are usually done in a way that other people involved in gangs would immediately notice. It’s kind of like a name tag for ushers at church or people at stores for others to approach. It is meant to be different yet the same to their own kind.
